Steps to Enhance Cooperation in Healthcare and Environmental Protection with Kazakhstan’s Regions Discussed in Hong Kong

Hong Kong, July 3, 2025 – Consul General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hong Kong and Macao SARs, PRC Bauyrzhan Dosmanbetov held a meeting with Leung Chun-ying, Vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, on the eve of his visit to Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong within the framework of the initiative “Belt and Road”, including the possibility of intensifying cooperation in the field of health and environment.

The focus of discussion was on several significant programs in medicine, which were meant to enhance public health and medical service quality in Kazakhstan.Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain close contacts in order to implement the planned plans.
