Riga, June 27, 2025 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia, together with the Baltic-Central Asian Economic Development Association, held a round table discussion entitled “Kazakhstan – Latvia: Cooperation Vector 2025”.
Kazakhstan's Ambassador Dauren Karipov and other representatives of the Kazakh side briefed Latvian participants on current economic trends and priorities in Kazakhstan. Particular attention was paid to the investment climate and the disclosure of Kazakhstan's transit and transport potential. In this context, they discussed issues related to the involvement of Latvian businesses in the implementation of state and private programmes for the modernisation of economic sectors, as well as the increase in supplies of Kazakhstani products to European and world markets via transit through the Republic of Latvia.

The document provides for the launch of a new logistics chain for the delivery of e-commerce goods from China to Europe via Kazakhstan and Latvia, using the infrastructure of Latvian ports. This is a new format of cooperation that will increase the transparency, standardisation and efficiency of international postal and logistics operations between business alliances in the Baltic States and Central Asia.
