Opportunities of Deepening Cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Muslim World League Discussed in Riyadh

Riyadh, June 24, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia, Madiyar Menilbekov, held a meeting with the Deputy Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Abdulwahab AlShehri.

During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Muslim World League within the framework of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. They also exchanged views on advancing interfaith and inter-civilizational dialogue at the international level.

In this context, the Ambassador invited representatives of the MWL to participate in the upcoming XXIII meeting of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, as well as in the II Forum of Young Religious Leaders.

For his part, Abdelwahab AlShehri reaffirmed the Muslim World League’s full support for the work of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. He expressed the League’s readiness to strengthen cooperation with the Congress Secretariat and work jointly to promote peace, harmony, and mutual respect among religions globally.
