Warsaw, June 18, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Poland Nurlan Zhalgasbayev held a meeting of the with the Vice-Minister of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland Michal Baranowski, co-chairman of the Polish side of the Kazakh-Polish Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation (IGC).
During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral economic cooperation, emphasizing the positive dynamics of trade and economic relations between Kazakhstan and Poland. It was noted a significant prospect for further expansion of cooperation, in particular through diversification of commodity nomenclature and increasing the volume of mutual investments.
Special attention was paid to the issues of transport and logistics cooperation, including the implementation of infrastructure projects within the development of the Middle Corridor. Prospects for deepening investment partnership were also discussed.
Ambassador Zhalgasbayev noted that today about 145 Polish companies, including such well-known brands as Polpharma and Selena, are successfully operating in Kazakhstan. Over the past three years, the volume of Polish investment in Kazakhstan's economy has totalled one-third of the total since 2005, indicating growing confidence on the part of Polish business.
Vice-Minister Baranowski, in turn, highly appreciated the achievements of the Kazakh economy and confirmed the special importance for Poland of strategic partnership with Kazakhstan in the context of Central Asia.
In conclusion, the parties have discussed the preparations for the next meeting of the Kazakh-Polish IGC on economic cooperation, as well as a business forum with the participation of representatives of business circles of both countries.
