Holding of the Kazakhstan-Jordan Business Council discussed in Amman

Amman, June 15, 2025 – A meeting was held between the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay and the Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, who is the Co-Chairman of the Business Council between Kazakhstan and Jordan from the Jordanian side.

The meeting was also attended by members of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce leadership from various provinces across the country, representing key sectors of the national economy, including agriculture, meat production, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, transport, logistics, tourism, and others.

The parties discussed ways to develop trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and Jordan, as well as the issue of holding the next meeting of the Business Council, scheduled for August of this year in Astana.

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of early preparation for these events. He noted the need to attract companies from the agricultural, industrial, pharmaceutical, transportation, logistics, construction, mining, and IT sectors in both countries.

Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq confirmed his readiness to hold the next meeting of the Business Council at a high organizational level, involving key players from the leading sectors of the Jordanian economy.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to continue working on the substantive and organizational protocol issues of the Business Council, with the involvement of relevant experts from the two countries.
