Islamabad, June 11, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin met with the Honorable Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training of Pakistan, Wajiha Qamar.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan in the field of education.
Ambassador Kistafin informed the Minister about the visits of leading universities of Kazakhstan this year, during which negotiations were held with the leadership of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, as well as top universities in the country.
Special emphasis was placed on the need to develop direct interaction between authorized government agencies and universities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan in order to exchange information, develop systemic approaches and create a favorable environment for the youth of the two countries.
In addition, Minister Qamar expressed interest in studying Kazakhstan’s experience in the field of school education, existing standards and systems.
At the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold the first meeting of the Joint Working Group on Education this year with the involvement of leading educational organizations of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
