Deepening the Economic Partnership between Kazakhstan and Greece Discussed in Athens

Athens, June 11, 2025 – At the headquarters of the national investment and export-promotion agency Enterprise Greece, Timur Sultangozhin, Ambassador of of Kazakhstan to Greece, met with Marinos Giannopoulos, Chief Executive Officer of the Agency.

The two sides reviewed a broad agenda aimed at reinvigorating bilateral trade, economic and investment co-operation. Particular emphasis was placed on preparing joint events, including a business forum and a visit of a delegation of Greek companies to Kazakhstan in the context of forthcoming at the highest and high levels exchanges.

Promising spheres for collaboration were also examined, notably energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and food production, biotechnology, electronics, artificial intelligence, information technologies and innovation.

Concluding the talks, both parties reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening practical co-operation and signalled their readiness to implement concrete projects designed to diversify and expand Kazakh-Greek economic ties.

Enterprise Greece is the national agency of the Hellenic Republic, supervised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for attracting foreign direct investment and promoting Greek exports worldwide.

In 2022, Enterprise Greece and the national company Kazakh Invest signed a Memorandum of Understanding seeking to foster investment co-operation and implement joint projects, thereby providing an additional institutional foundation for expanding the Kazakhstan-Greece partnership.
