Kazakhstan–Greece Partnership in Shipping and Logistics Discussed in Athens

Athens, June 4-6, 2025 – A working visit of the leadership of Kazakhstan’s National Maritime Shipping Company “Kazmortransflot” to the Hellenic Republic took place. The visit was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Greece with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the maritime sector.

The delegation included senior officials of Kazakhstan’s key maritime institutions, including the General Director of Kazmortransflot, Aidar Orzhanov. During the visit, the Kazakh delegation held meetings with the leadership of prominent Greek shipping companies and visited shipyards as well as port infrastructure sites.

The discussions focused on exploring promising avenues of cooperation in shipbuilding, fleet technical maintenance, logistics, and the development of transport routes. Particular interest was shown in studying the Greek experience in integrating advanced technological solutions into maritime fleet management.

The sides expressed readiness to expand dialogue and establish sustainable channels of cooperation between the relevant institutions of both countries. The visit marked an important step toward building a robust partnership between Kazakhstan and Greece in the fields of maritime transportation and logistics.
