Riyadh, June 1, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov met with the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz Al-Duailej.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia in the field of civil aviation, including the development of air traffic, the opening of new air routes between big cities of the two countries, an increase in passenger and cargo flows, etc.
Ambassador Menilbekov informed about the development of the aviation industry of Kazakhstan, as well as new opportunities for cooperation in this area. Particular attention was paid to the possibilities of using the 5th degree of air freedom in Kazakhstan by Saudi airlines.
Today, there are regular flights between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia on the routes Almaty-Jeddah, Almaty-Medina, Shymkent-Jeddah, Shymkent-Medina and Astana-Jeddah, which are carried out by the Kazakh companies Air Astana, SCAT and the Saudi airline Flynas.
