The Development of Trade and Economic Cooperation Between Kazakhstan and Jordan were Discussed in Amman

Amman, May 29, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Jordan Talgat Shaldanbay held a meeting with Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply of Jordan Yarub Al-Quda.

The main focus of the conversation was paid to practical issues of developing Kazakhstan-Jordanian trade and economic cooperation, including increasing trade turnover, logistical aspects, and promoting Kazakhstani products to the Jordanian market. They also discussed the implementation of current initiatives in agriculture, energy and pharmaceutics, which are being studied jointly by the relevant departments in both countries.

In this context, the Ambassador expressed gratitude to the Minister for setting up the Kazakhstan-Jordan Working Group on exporting Kazakh wheat, and emphasized the importance of intensifying its work and holding a meeting in Astana.

Both parties acknowledged the productive collaboration between their respective ministries and sectoral organizations, and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding their partnership in the agro-industrial sector and the exchange of industrial products.

One of the key points of the meeting was the preparation for the Kazakhstan-Jordan Business Forum which is scheduled to take place in Astana in August 2025. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of determining in advance the responsible representatives from the Jordanian side and initiating the formation of a delegation that would include both officials and representatives of the business community and industry associations.

Minister Al-Quda confirmed their interest in hosting the Business Forum and expressed readiness to provide organizational support and coordinate with the relevant Jordanian parties. Noting the special importance of sustainable business dialogue for strengthening economic ties between the two countries, the Minister thanked the Ambassador for the significant activation of bilateral cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to maintain active working contacts and continue coordination in all areas discussed.
