Astana and Ljubljana are Focused on Implementing the Agreements Reached During the Official Visit of the President of Slovenia to Kazakhstan

Ljubljana, May 26, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Slovenia Daniyar Sarekenov met with the Adviser to the President of Slovenia on Foreign Policy Damjan Bergant.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key aspects of cooperation and confirmed their mutual desire to implement the agreements reached during the last official visit of the President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar to Kazakhstan.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding of the next meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, as well as the development of partnership in the fields of transport and logistics, nuclear energy, digital technologies and the pharmaceutical industry. Both parties noted significant prospects in the field of investment cooperation and attracting Slovenian companies to projects in Kazakhstan.

The tourism industry, cultural and humanitarian initiatives were also recognized as priority areas of cooperation. Kazakhstan expressed its readiness to intensify ties with Slovenia in the field of science and education.

The parties confirmed their commitment to further deepening partnership relations based on trust, friendship and mutual respect.
