Riga, May 20, 2025 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Latvia together with the Kazakhstan Tourism Association (KTA) and “Kazakh Tourism” National Company” JSC held a round table in Riga on “Tourism Potential of Kazakhstan”.
In his welcoming speech, Kazakhstan’s Ambassador to Latvia Dauren Karipov drew the attention of the event participants to the rich cultural, historical sights and natural resources of Kazakhstan, which can certainly attract an influx of foreign tourists. The Kazakh diplomat noted that the visa-free regime for citizens of 83 countries of the world, including Latvia, contributes to the discovery of tourism opportunities of Kazakhstan.
Representatives of KTA and “Kazakh Tourism” National Company” JSC told in online format about the tourism potential of the country, presented the main routes and the most creative solutions for tourists from Latvia and the entire Baltic region. Kazakh specialists confirmed their readiness to organize a study tour for Latvian tour operators and sign a memorandum of cooperation.
The participants of the roundtable appreciated the informative presentations, showing significant interest for Latvian travelers in Kazakhstan, including cultural routes, mountain tourism and unique trips to the country's national parks.
The event was attended by experts from the tourism industry of the Baltic region, heads of Latvian tour companies and media representatives.
