Mufti of Croatia will participate in the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

Zagreb, May 16, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Croatia, Daulet Batrashev, met with the Head of the Islamic Community of Croatia, Mufti Aziz Hasanović.

During the meeting, the Ambassador presented an official invitation to Mufti Hasanović to participate in the 8th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. He expressed gratitude to the Islamic Community of Croatia for its continued support of Kazakhstan’s initiatives aimed at strengthening interfaith dialogue, promoting religious tolerance, and enhancing cooperation among different cultures and faiths.

Mufti Hasanović expressed his support for the efforts of Kazakhstan’s leadership in promoting spiritual and religious values. He noted the relevance and timeliness of the Congress Development Concept for 2023-2033. He also emphasized that Kazakhstan’s secular traditions—rooted in tolerance, peace, and respect for the rights of all citizens in a multi-confessional society—represent a valuable national legacy.

He also confirmed the participation of a delegation from the Islamic Community of Croatia in the Congress, which he described as an important international platform for fostering dialogue and cooperation among various cultures and religions in the pursuit of peace and harmony.
