Kazakhstan and Pakistan Strengthen Cooperation in the Field of Railway Connectivity

Islamabad, May 14, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan Yerzhan Kistafin met with Minister of railways of Pakistan Muhammad Hanif Abbasi.

Prospects for further development of cooperation in the transport sector were discussed. Both sides supported the initiatives to develop railway communication between Kazakhstan and Pakistan via Afghanistan, which will certainly contribute to strengthening trade not only in a bilateral but also regional format.

Specific plans for cooperation in the field of railway transport were outlined, with an emphasis on the creation of efficient, safe and sustainable routes, including transit routes.
