Kazakhstan and India Intend to Deepen Strategic Partnership

New Delhi, 15 May 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to India Azamat Yeskarayev held a meeting with Tanmaya Lal, Secretary (West), Ministry of External Affairs of India, during which the parties discussed a wide range of issues of the Kazakh-Indian strategic partnership.

In particular, the interlocutors noted that the upcoming events at high and highest levels in New Delhi, including within the framework of the “Central Asia – India Dialogue”, will provide another opportunity to “compare the notes” on topical issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda between Kazakhstan and India.

In the field of trade and economic cooperation, Kazakh Ambassador acquainted the Indian diplomat with potential investment projects in Kazakhstan. Tanmaya Lal, in turn, expressed his readiness to assist in attracting Indian investments to the Kazakh economy, in particular from the largest companies of India.

Emphasizing the importance of the legal framework in expanding mutually beneficial comprehensive partnership between the countries, the interlocutors agreed on the need to speed up the consideration of draft agreements being worked on by the parties in order to prepare them for signing.

Following the talks, diplomats agreed to make every effort to develop bilateral relations.
