Promotion of Joint Investment Projects in the Focus of Attention of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan

Tashkent, May 12, 2025 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov met with Executive Director of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Vafayev.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached between the Heads of State of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan following highest level bilateral meetings.

Particular attention was given to the promotion of joint investment projects, including initiatives in such priority areas as geological exploration, development of transport and energy infrastructure, cooperation in food security and biotechnology, expansion of interaction in the metallurgical sector, and stimulation of bilateral trade.

The parties noted the need to deepen coordination between relevant institutions and government agencies in order to improve the effectiveness of current and future projects, and agreed on approaches for further practical advancement of the Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan cooperation agenda.

At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to the development of mutually beneficial relations and expressed readiness to expand cooperation in strategically important sectors of the economy.
