Preparations for the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions were discussed in Al-Kuwait

Al-Kuwait, May 11, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Kuwait Azamat Berdibay met with the Minister of Awqaf (Endowments) and Islamic Affairs of the State of Kuwait Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Wasmi.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the main directions of religious, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan briefed about upcoming VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, which will be held on September, 2025 in Astana, and presented an invitation on behalf of the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbayev.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Wasmi has noted the important role of the Congress, which for more than twenty years has contributed to the development of inter-religious dialogue and the strengthening of mutual understanding and cooperation among the world community, and gratefully accepted the invitation.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further develop spiritual, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kuwait.
