Al Sharkia Expresses its Intention to Cooperate with the Regions of Kazakhstan

Zagazic, May 11, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt Askar Zhengis held a meeting with the Governor of Al Sharkia Hazem Mohammed Hassan Al Ashmouny.

During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction that relations between Kazakhstan and Egypt are at a high level. In this regard, it is necessary to further increase the pace of dynamic cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples.

In this context, ways to further expand trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian ties between the regions of Kazakhstan and the province of Al Sharkia were discussed.

Ambassador Zhengis thanking the governor for the warm welcome, spoke about the current political and socio-economic development of Kazakhstan. In particular, he introduced the measures taken by the Government to create a favorable business climate for foreign entrepreneurs and invited Egyptian businessmen to take part in Kazakh projects.

For his part, Hazem Al Ashmouny briefed the Ambassador on the achievements of the province in recent years and noted that Kazakhstan is an important political and economic partner of Egypt in Central Asia. He expressed his readiness to closely interact with the regions of Kazakhstan in all areas of cooperation of mutual interest.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to consider the possibility of establishing twinning relations between one of the regions of Kazakhstan and the province of Al Sharkia.
