Prospects for Increased Cooperation in the Pharmaceutical Sector Discussed in Skopje

Skopje, April 9, 2025 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia Satybaldy Burshakov visited the pharmaceutical company of “Alkaloid”.

At the meeting with Zhivko Mukaetov, CEO and MB President of the company, Ambassador informed about Kazakhstan’s achievements in foreign and domestic policy, as well as the socio-economic development of our country.

The Kazakh diplomat noted that healthcare is one of the priority areas on the investment development agenda of Kazakhstan. He focused the attention of the Macedonian company’s representatives on the competitive advantages in our country for the pharmaceutical business: access to regional markets, advanced logistics, tax and customs privileges.

Zhivko Mukaetov familiarized with the 88-year history of “Alkaloid” company, shared information about the current activities of the pharmaceutical company and its future plans. He said that Alkaloid, which is registered in 80 countries, is expanding its representation in Almaty by creating additional jobs for citizens of Kazakhstan.

The Ambassador presented the MB President of Alkaloid with an official invitation to the Astana International Forum on May, 2025.

Following the visit to the pharmaceutical company, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan was introduced to the production and technological lines, laboratories and research centers of the company that meet European and international standards.

Alkaloid is a Macedonian pharmaceutical company engaged in the production of medicines, plant care products, cosmetics and household chemicals.
