Nauryz was Widely Celebrated in the Bulgarian Capital

Sofia, April 2, 2025 – In honor of the celebration of Nauryz, a concert of musicians of the State Academic Concert Organization “Qazaqconcert” named after Rosa Baglanova was held in the capital of Bulgaria on the initiative of the Embassy of Kazakhstan.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Bulgaria Viktor Temirbayev welcomed the guests and, telling about the history of Nauryz, noted its deep meaning as the most important holiday in the national culture, symbolizing peace, friendship and harmony.

The concert performed by the musicians of SACO “Qazaqconcert” left an unforgettable impression. The musical compositions performed on folk instruments dombra, kobyz and zhetigen enlivened the charming melodies, creating the atmosphere of a genuine spring festival.

After the concert, a reception was held where the guests had the opportunity to taste traditional Kazakh dishes for Nauryz, each of which was performed with skill and love, conveying the essence of Kazakh hospitality. Kazakh culinary diversity added a special atmosphere of warmth and joy to the evening.

The event was attended by the heads of the President’s Administration of Bulgaria, government agencies and departments, deputies of the National Assembly (Parliament), heads of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, the Bulgarian public and the media.

This evening was a vivid example of the beauty of national music and the uniqueness of the works of our cultural heritage.

It is noteworthy that the celebration of Nauryz coincides with the Bulgarian holiday “Parva Prolet”, which has a similar meaning and symbolizes the onset of spring.
