
Seoul, December 3, 2024 – Kazakhstan successfully showcased its trade and investment opportunities at the annual Korea Grand Sourcing Fair 2024, organized with the support of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA).
The event featured the Kazakh pavilion, which included national products. Visitors to the pavilion had the chance to explore the quality of Kazakh products and discuss potential cooperation with representatives of QazTrade and Air Astana.
In his opening remarks, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to the South Korea, Nurgali Arystanov, emphasized:
“Kazakhstan is ready to actively export its products to the Korean market, offering high-quality goods that meet international standards. We are confident that business cooperation between our countries will continue to deepen, supported by the visa-free regime and the high frequency of direct flights between our cities”.
Earlier, on November 29, 2024, a seminar discussion on the investment opportunities of the Turkistan Region was held at KITA’s headquarters in Seoul. Nurlan Kusherov, Deputy Akim of the Turkistan Region, presented the region's economic potential, while Kazakh and Korean companies discussed joint projects. The event concluded with the signing of cooperation memorandums between companies from the two countries and a series of productive B2B meetings.
Yoon Jin-sik, Chairman of the Korea International Trade Association, said,
“Last June, we visited Kazakhstan, our largest investment and trade partner in Central Asia, with our companies and were able to see Kazakhstan’s limitless potential”.
These initiatives contribute to strengthening the economic partnership between Kazakhstan and the South Korea, paving the way for new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation.
