Kazakhstan is Represented at the Largest Air and Defense Industry Exhibition in Africa

Tshwane, 20 September 2024 – Ambassador of Kazakhstan to South Africa, Yerkin Akhinzhanov, visited Africa Aerospace and Defense 2024 (AAD), the largest exhibition of aerospace and defense equipment on the African continent.

This year, more than 450 companies from 30 countries presented their achievements at the exhibition, further solidifying its status as a key event in Africa’s defense industry. The AAD Expo is held every two years in the City of Tshwane, the administrative capital of South Africa, attracting the attention of world leaders in the defense and aerospace industries. The event combines a trade exhibition and an air show.

During the event, the Kazakh diplomat held meetings with representatives of “Paramount Group” and “Midivisana Engineering” companies working in the defense sector of Kazakhstan to discuss cooperation and development of joint solutions for the defense industry of Kazakhstan and the international market.

Paramount Group is a major player in the aerospace and defense industries worldwide. Since 2016, its joint venture, Kazakhstan Paramount Engineering, has been the largest manufacturer of armored wheeled vehicles in Central Asia.

Midivisana Engineering, a cutting-edge research and production company, specializes in developing command vehicles, mobile complexes, and dual-use systems.
