
Seoul, July 4, 2024 – The Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Korea, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan, organized the Kazakhstan booth at the international import goods exhibition “Korea Import Fair 2024”.
The event organized by the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), showcased products and services of Kazakh companies such as organic juices FruitLab and Iki, Sigara Borek semi-finished products, Bacchus beverages and Air Astana services.
While speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, KOIMA Chairman Kim Byung-kwan noted the importance of expanding imports from Korea’s friendly partner countries. He emphasized that this exhibition provides a unique opportunity for foreign companies to present their products in Korea and find potential partners.
More than 200 companies from 50 countries took part in the event. On the first day of the exhibition, the Kazakhstan booth was visited by several hundred participants and many Korean companies expressed interest in cooperation with Kazakh companies.
During the visit to the Kazakhstan booth, Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurgali Arystanov, Chairman of KOIMA Kim Byung-kwan and Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Choi Woo Seok got acquainted with Kazakh products and discussed prospects for expanding bilateral trade.
It should be noted that the volume of Kazakh-Korean trade is 6 billion US dollars, making South Korea the 4th largest trading partner of our country.
