Priorities of Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland were Discussed in Warsaw

Warsaw, February 23, 2024 – The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Poland Alim Kirabayev met with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Marek Prawda.

During the meeting, there was a thorough exchange of views on the status and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Poland, including bilateral events planned for this year. Mutual willingness to further deepen cooperation in political, trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres was confirmed.

The conversation focused on the attractiveness of using the transit potential of the Trans-Caspian international transport route in order to increase trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Poland.

The parties also touched upon the issues of expanding the bilateral legal framework, as well as strengthening cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian track, including the development of contacts between educational institutions of the two countries.

Along with this, the Polish diplomat was informed in detail about the current political and socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan, as well as familiarized with the key provisions of the New Economic Policy and the January article of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland stressed that Warsaw traditionally considers Kazakhstan as its important partner in Central Asia and is determined to continue mutually beneficial cooperation with Astana.
