Sofia, February 14, 2023 – Kazakhstan`s Ambassador Viktor Temirbayev held a meeting with Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Milkov.
During the meeting, the diplomats “compared notes” on issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, and also held an in-depth exchange of views on the prospects for its further development.
In particular, special emphasis was placed by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan on joint efforts to intensify political dialogue, trade and economic ties as well as the development of transit potential along the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route or the Middle Corridor. Both parties noted the existence of broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of investment, IT technologies, agriculture, tourism and education.
Also, Ambassador Temirbayev introduced the counter-partner to the ongoing political and socio-economic transformations as well as the main activities within the framework of a large-scale transformation of the political system of our country.
For his part, Minister Milkov noted that Kazakhstan is considered as a key partner of Bulgaria in Central Asia. In addition, he confirmed the readiness of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry for close cooperation on all issues of the bilateral agenda.
Both parties agreed to continue working contacts in the future, including on issues related to the holding of Kazakh-Bulgarian political consultations in Astana in the spring of 2023.
