About the Meeting of the Council of National Coordinators of CARICC Participating States

Almaty, April 19, 2024 – The regular annual meeting of the Council of National Coordinators (CNC) of the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Center for Combating Illicit Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and their Precursors (CARICC) member states was held under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan with the participation of the representatives of law enforcement agencies and foreign ministries of CARICC member states.

Within the framework of the CNC meeting, the issues of the international anti-drug agenda were considered. The parties expressed readiness to continue work on coordination and cooperation with CARICC on countering illicit drug trafficking.

During the event, member states adopted CARICC Development Strategy for 2024-2028 and approved the Memorandum of Understanding between CARICC and the Afghanistan Research Center of Shaanxi University of the People’s Republic of China.

CARICC is the only interstate structure for combating illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors in Central Asia.
