About the death of miners in the Karaganda region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan received with deep sorrow the news of the death of people as a result of a fire at a mine in the Karaganda region.

We express our sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and share with them the bitterness of this irreplaceable loss. We wish a speedy recovery to the injured.

Due to the death of the miners in the Karaganda region, October 29, 2023, has been declared a Day of National Mourning in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
