Nur-Sultan, 26 January 2022 – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Shakhrat Nuryshev met with Japanese Ambassador Jun Yamada on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Mr. Nuryshev noted with satisfaction the high level of the Kazakh-Japanese strategic partnership achieved over the past 30 years.
Touching upon the practical aspects of cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the diplomats agreed to continue joint efforts toward strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two states.
On the anniversary date, the parties exchanged congratulatory messages between President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida, as well as between Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan Yoshimasa Hayashi.
Mr. Tleuberdi in his message noted Japan’s long-term support for Kazakhstan’s efforts to build its own model of state development, assuring that the Kazakh side also pays great attention to the dynamic development of cooperation with Japan. “I look forward to further development of the enhanced strategic partnership between the two countries in view of the significant potential for strengthening political dialogue, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Japan,” the Minister stressed.
In turn, Yoshimasa Hayashi noted that “since the establishment of diplomatic relations, Japan and Kazakhstan have continued to strengthen their relations in such various spheres as politics, economy and human resources development, constantly deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.”
