Kazakhstan took part in the UN Meeting on the Humanitarian Situation in Afghanistan

Nur-Sultan – Geneva, September 13, 2021 – The Special Representative of the President of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan Talgat Kaliyev took part in the High-level Ministerial Meeting on the Humanitarian Situation in Afghanistan via videoconferencing.

 Within the framework of the event, which was opened by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, representatives of states and international structures – aid suppliers to Afghanistan – announced the provision of financial resources for this purpose.

In his statement, Mr.  Kaliyev said that Kazakhstan supports international efforts to help stabilize the situation in Afghanistan, highlighting the initiative to establish a United Nations logistics hub for delivery of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, designed to ensure the consolidated safe delivery of international humanitarian aid to the country.
