Ambassador of Kazakhstan Presents Credentials to President of Greece

Athens, September 7, 2021 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hellenic Republic Yerlan Baudarbek-Kozhatayev presented his credentials to the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

During the bilateral meeting held after the official ceremony, the Kazakh diplomat briefed the Greek President on the political and socio-economic reforms announced in the annual State of the Nation Address of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan.

Particular attention during the conversation was paid to the parties’ evaluation of the situation in Afghanistan and the temporary deployment of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), as well as other UN agencies’ ​personnel in Kazakhstan.

President Sakellaropoulou commended the atmosphere of interethnic harmony in Kazakhstan, where the Greek diaspora, among other communities, lives in peace and harmony.
