Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Speaks at Fourth Meeting of CICA Business Council

Nur-Sultan, 24 June 2021 – Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi took part in the Fourth  Meeting of the CICA Business Council.

The National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan «Atameken» organized the event held online in assistance with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the CICA Secretariat. The event was attended by members of the Business Council, heads of Chambers of Commerce and business circles of the CICA Member States.

The meeting was dedicated to discussing new approaches for strengthening cooperation between the CICA countries in agriculture, food production and the construction industry.

In his speech, Tileuberdi underlined that after almost 30 years the initiative of the First President of Kazakhstan – Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev to convene the CICA has been successfully implemented and the Council has earned recognition as an important platform for Asian security, which brings together 27 Member States that generate over 50% of the world’s GDP and providing two-thirds of global economic growth.

In addition, Tileuberdi informed the audience about relevant investment opportunities of Kazakhstan, measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to improve the business climate and to create favorable conditions for foreign investors, activities of the AIFC and special economic zones.

As a result of the event, the participants agreed to hold regular meetings to expand further cooperation within the framework of the CICA Business Council.

On June 25, 2021, the CICA Business Forum will be held back-to-back with the CICA Business Council.
