Astana, May 18, 2026 – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Issetov held a meeting with members of the Poland-Kazakhstan Friendship Group headed by its Chairperson, Member of the Sejm Barbara Bartuś.
During the meeting, parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Kazakh-Polish cooperation, including the strengthening of interparliamentary dialogue, expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
Deputy Minister Issetov stressed the importance of intensifying contacts between the parliaments of the two countries in order to further strengthen cooperation and promote joint initiatives, expressing satisfaction with the existence of an “active political, cultural, humanitarian and economic dialogue.”
In turn, Deputy Bartuś noted that “Kazakhstan is Poland’s key partner in Central Asia” and expressed interest in further developing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The interlocutors agreed that Astana and Warsaw possess significant potential for further deepening mutually beneficial trade, economic and investment cooperation. In particular, the coordinating role of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation was highlighted, which 10th meeting was held in Astana in April 2026.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on the political reforms being carried out in the country, with the Polish side welcoming the ongoing transformations and emphasizing their importance for the further institutional development of the state.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen the Kazakh-Polish partnership and continue constructive dialogue.
