Kazakh Foreign Deputy Minister received the Ambassador of Iran

Astana, 6 May 2026 – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakaev received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Akbar Jowkar.

The diplomats discussed the current state and prospects of Kazakhstan-Iran cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to the implementation of previously reached agreements.

Particular attention was paid to trade, economic, transport and logistics cooperation, as well as to the importance of maintaining regular dialogue at all levels.

The meeting also addressed topical issues on the regional and international agenda, including the situation in the Middle East.
