Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

We highly appreciate the statements made by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and the President of the Russian Federation regarding the ceasefire and cessation of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone.

The agreements reached comply with the UN Security Council resolutions and may be the mainstay of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis.

We emphasize the constructive role of the Russian Federation in reaching the agreement and its peacekeeping efforts aimed at the practical implementation of this agreement.

We hope that in these difficult times, the Azerbaijani and Armenian nations will strive to establish a solid foundation for everlasting peace, harmony and security in the region.
