Baghdad, October 8, 2025 – A solemn ceremony of presenting credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Talgat Shaldanbay, to the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, accrediting him as Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan concurrently to the Republic of Iraq was held.
In a conversation following the ceremony, the two sides discussed current issues related to strengthening Kazakh-Iraqi relations.
Ambassador Shaldanbay conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to Abdul Latif Rashid on behalf of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, reaffirming our country's commitment to further deepening bilateral cooperation.
In turn, the President of Iraq expressed confidence in the continued strengthening of friendly ties between Kazakhstan and Iraq and wished the Ambassador success in his diplomatic endeavors.
On the eve of the credential presentation, the Kazakh diplomat met with Fuad Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq. During the meeting, participants discussed practical steps to expand cooperation and highlighted the importance of developing political dialogue and strengthening cooperation in trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
