Visa to the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Lithuania admits citizens from 9.00 to 12.00, strictly by personal appointment.

You can make an appointment and/or get advice on visa issues on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14.00 to 17.00 by calling on +370-5-231-3070.

While visiting the consular section of the Embassy, the use of protective masks and gloves is mandatory. Only one person can be admitted in the reception room at a time (with the exception of members of the same family).

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Kazakhstan, the government of Kazakhstan has temporarily suspended its unilateral visa-free regime for citizens of 57 states, including the Republic of Lithuania, starting from 17 April 2020 to 31 December 2021.

The above means that the citizens of the Republic of Lithuania who are planning to visit Kazakhstan before 31 December 2021 will need to obtain a visa of the appropriate category at the consular office of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Lithuania.

Until the sanitary and epidemiological situation improves, the crossing of the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan is temporarily restricted. Due to ongoing restrictions, Kazakh visas will only be issued to a few categories of foreign citizens who are allowed to enter the Republic of Kazakhstan for the period of pandemic.

Therefore, before submitting documents for issuing visas, you must carefully read the Kazakhstan State Border Crossing Procedure during the quarantine restrictions period (more details are on the website of the Border Guard Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan).

General provisions for all categories of visas

All Kazakh visas will be issued in accordance with the current Rules of issuing visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

For all other visa categories, citizens of the above countries will need to provide:

1) completed and signed visa application form with photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm.);

2) formal letter of invitation (visa support) issued via the immigration agency in the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the exceptions specified in the Rules of Issuing Visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan (for more details please contact the Consular Office of the Embassy of Kazakhstan);

3) valid diplomatic, service, ordinary passport of a foreign state, or another identification document recognized in this capacity by the Republic of Kazakhstan and providing the right to cross the State border of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

4) additional documents, depending on the category of the requested visa.

Consular fees (non-refundable):

  • single entry visa - 75 Euro;
  • multiple entry visa - 170 Euro;
  • children under 6 years of age receive a visa free of charge (citizens of Lithuania).

Visa processing time (regular): 5 working days

Please note:

Depending on the category of visa, processing time and requirements are subject to change.

Documents issued by authorized bodies of a foreign state (certificate of no criminal record, document confirming nationality, diploma, etc.) are subject to legalization / apostille.

Please do not mail documents and visa application forms by post. Documents sent by post will not be processed and the Embassy is not responsible for the loss of documents.
