The representative of Kazakhstan has been appointed an independent auditor of the International Anti-Corruption Academy

Laxenburg (Austria), May 21, 2024 – Representative of the Supreme Audit Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyailim Kashimova has been appointed as an independent external auditor of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) for the period 2024-2026 to audit the Academy's financial statements.

From May 15 to 17, 2024, L.Kashimova, together with auditors from Thailand and Russia, conducted the audit of IACA’s financial statement for the year 2023.

IACA’s Board of Governors appoints the collegium of three independent external auditors from senior members of national supreme audit institutions of the member states to this international educational organization. Independent external auditors act in their capacity and enjoy functional and organizational independence in conducting the audit, which guarantees the objectivity and impartiality of the assessment of the financial activities of the Academy.

International Anti-Corruption Academy - An international educational organization aiming to address gaps in anti-corruption knowledge and practice through education, research, and cooperation. The Academy, which includes 77 UN member states and 4 international organizations, was established in 2010 and is based in Laxenburg, Austria.
