Israeli business mission presented in Astana advanced projects in the field of water supply

Astana, August 7-10, 2023 – The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel organized a visit of Israeli companies "Gaon Group" and "Shtang Construction and Engineering" Ltd with advanced experience in the field of engineering and operational optimization, offering integrated solutions for water supply, including the development of master plans and its implementation.

During their visit to the capital of Kazakhstan, the Israeli investors held meetings with Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Zulfiya Suleimenova, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Marat Karabayev, Chairman of the Board of Kazakh Invest Meirzhan Yusupov, the leadership of the Astana City Akimat and KazCenter Housing and Utilities JSC.

During the meetings CEO of "Gaon Group" Guy Regev presented projects of Israeli companies in the field of water circulation systems, sewerage systems, water pipelines and development of pipeline networks.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel Satybaldy Burshakov, who accompanied the business mission, referring to the Israel’s worldwide leadership in the introduction of water-saving technologies, desalination of seawater and wastewater treatment, noted the existing significant potential for cooperation in this area. In this context, it was also emphasized that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attaches key importance to water supply projects for the country's population.

As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to study interested projects in the field of water resources, as well as to exchange experience in this direction.
