Trade and economic cooperation

Kazakhstan is interested in advanced Israeli technologies and know-how, Israel - in the supply of Kazakh energy resources. According to the Israeli side, 25% of the total imported oil originates from Kazakhstan.

The Committee on Statistics of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan reports that Kazakh-Israeli trade in 2024 reached $ 236,155  million (export $167,613 million, import $68.542 million). (2023 - $462.3 million, 2022 - $882.9 million, 2021 - $264.4 million, 2020. - $376.1 million).

In 2004, Israel established the Israel-Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce in order to develop and expand trade and economic relations.

Due to the interaction of business circles a number of joint projects have been successfully implemented: the supply of new equipment and the introduction of advanced management by «Superior Cables» at the factory of «Kazenergokabel» in Pavlodar in 2005; installation of 2 plants for desalination of sea water (capacity of 12 thousand cubic meters / day) by «I.D.E. Technologies» for the production needs of MAEC in the Mangistau region in 2008; construction of a complex for growing and processing turkey meat with a capacity of 10 thousand tons by «M.A.D. Corporation» in SKO in 2009; the construction of 2 greenhouses with an area of ​​about 3 hectares for the production of vegetable products by «AgroproLtd». in Astana in 2010. Currently, the companies «Netafim», «Naan Dan Jain Irrigation Ltd.» and others carry out projects in the field of drip irrigation, livestock, poultry and gardening in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As of October 17, 2019, Kazakhstan has registered 141 Israeli-shared companies working in construction, oil and gas, metal industry, manufacturing, cable production, telecommunications, finance and insurance, real estate, pharmaceuticals and medicine, trade and advertising, tourism , transport services, water supply, agriculture, education and scientific and technical areas.

The Kazakh-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was established in June 29, 1992.There were held 8 IGC meetings. Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan, co-chaired the Kazakh part of the IGC. Ze'ev Elkin, Minister of Environmental Protection and of Jerusalem Affairs and Heritage, co-chaired the Israeli part. Since January, 2020, the Kazakhstani part of the IGC is coordinated by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.

Investment cooperation

According to the National Bank of Kazakhstan, the net inflow of direct investment from Israel for the 2024 amounted to $ 53.7 million.

From 2005 Israel invested $442,2 million in Kazakh economy.

From 2005 Kazakhstan invested a total of $14.6 million to Israel.
