Cultural and humanitarian cooperation
Days of Culture were held in Georgia and Kazakhstan: (November 24, 2006 in Tbilisi - the festival of culture "Crossroads: Kazakhstan-Georgia". During the festival, the film "Nomad" was shown, a photo exhibition, concerts of creative teams and the premiere of the musical "Kyz-Zhibek" took place; July 1-5, 2007 in Astana - "Days of Georgian Culture", a delegation of 170 people was headed by the Mayor of Tbilisi, G.Ugulava).
There are corners of Kazakh literature in the National Library of the Parliament of Georgia named after I.Chavchavadze (17.04.2017); Sukhumi State University (18.05.2021); Tbilisi State University (17.06.2023).
As part of the 175th anniversary of the birth of Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev: one of the streets of the Georgian capital was named after the Kazakh poet (24.07.2020); a monument was erected (27.04.2022), Abai's poems were translated into Georgian for the first time (May 2020); an auditorium named after Abai was opened at Sukhumi State University (21.05.2021).
Kazakh theaters have toured to Georgia: August 7-9, 2018 of the Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abai; November 14-15, 2022 of the Astana Ballet Theater; September 22-23 of the State Opera and Ballet Theater "Astana Opera".
The Days of Kazakhstani Cinema were held twice (2014 and 2022). In March 2023, the romantic comedy "More than Love", co-produced by Kazakhstan and Georgia, was released on cinema screens.
Twinning ties have been established between the cities of Astana and Tbilisi; Aktau and Poti (2005); Atyrau and Borjomi (2023).
Four Honorary Consuls of Kazakhstan have been appointed in Georgia with consular districts of the regions of Kvemo-Kartli and Mtskheta-Mtianeti (residence in Rustavi), Samtskhe-Javakheti and Imereti (Borjomi), Shida Kartli (Gori), as well as the Adjara Autonomous Republic (Batumi).
