On January 30, 2025, Kazakh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov took part in the presentation of the book "The History of Uzbek Diplomacy" (from ancient times to the present day), which was held at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of Uzbekistan under the chairmanship of First Deputy Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Sodik Safoev.
During the event, the Head of the diplomatic mission delivered a speech and also read out congratulations on behalf of Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhakyp Asanov, in which Zh.Asanov noted that the book will have great historical significance both for Uzbekistan and for all Central Asian states, complementing and expanding the knowledge base of a wide range of readers.
In his speech, B.Atamkulov stressed that this book is rightfully an invaluable work of the authors to preserve the rich historical heritage of Uzbekistan. The history of Uzbek diplomacy has deep parallels with the history of the Kazakh people and has always played a crucial role in maintaining peace and stability in our region.
The head of the Diplomatic Mission also noted that today Uzbekistan continues the glorious tradition of open dialogue, strengthening its position in the international arena and successfully implementing initiatives aimed at developing regional cooperation. And one of the most striking examples of such strengthening of regional ties is the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to hold regular Consultative meetings of the Heads of State of Central Asia, which will undoubtedly go down in the history of modern Uzbek diplomacy.
The presentation was also attended by deputies of the Legislative Chamber and the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country, leading Uzbek and foreign scientists and experts, representatives of the mass media, faculty and students of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs.
For reference: the book "The History of Uzbek Diplomacy" provides detailed information on the establishment of bilateral relations with leading countries of the world, participation in multilateral formats, international forums and efforts to prioritize the development of regional cooperation.
Special emphasis is placed on the fact that the New Uzbekistan is reviving the basic principles of Uzbek diplomacy, which have been formed for centuries and served the development of the economy, trade, communications, exchange of new technologies and ideas.
