The Ambassador of Kazakhstan  Beibut Atamkulov met with the Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan Hilola Umarova

On July 3, 2024, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov met with the Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan Hilola Umarova.
A detailed conversation took place on the current reforms in the field of education. The issues of quality education, teacher training, and Kazakhstan's experience in the development of preschool and school education were touched upon.
The Head of the Diplomatic Mission thanked the Minister for his support in holding the FEMO International International Olympiad in Tashkent in May 2024 under the auspices of the Republican Physics and Mathematics School in Astana, which was attended by more than 300 children from 7 countries.
The Minister noted the positive experience of Kazakhstan in the development of school education, spoke about the achievements of Uzbekistan in improving school education processes, the opening of Presidential schools according to the Oxford program, the holding in Uzbekistan of the international PISA study on the assessment of students' knowledge and skills, nationwide certification of teachers, the opening of the school of secondary school principals, the holding of International Olympiads named after Al-Khorezmi in mathematics, and named after Al-Biruni in biology, in which Kazakhstani students also successfully participate, etc.
She shared plans for the organization and holding of the Central Asian Teachers' Forum in October this year with the participation of about 700 teachers, university professors and representatives of publishing houses that produce textbooks, as well as the IT industry.
The parties noted the high importance of holding joint school conferences and Olympiads in a bilateral format, as well as organizing summer camps, school craft exhibitions, etc.
They drew attention to the importance of studying Kazakh and Uzbek languages in educational institutions of both countries, exchange of experience in teacher training, strengthening cooperation between departments of specialized pedagogical universities.
In conclusion, the Parties expressed their commitment to contribute in every possible way to closer cooperation on development and exchange of experience in the educational field.

For reference: currently there are 1 million teachers and teachers in Uzbekistan, 8 million preschoolers and schoolchildren, 11 thousand schools and 30 thousand preschool institutions. The educational coverage of children is 74% with an annual increase of 1 million children.
