Kazakhstan Ambassador to Uzbekistan Beibut Atamkulov met with newly appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov

On January 4, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov held a working meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov.

During the meeting, discussed the results of work in 2023, as well as benchmarks for 2024 in the field of foreign policy and trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were outlined.

The parties noted that an important event of the coming year is the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The planned events discussed - an interregional forum in Samarkand, holding a regular meeting of the Kazakh-Uzbek Intergovernmental Commission, a meeting of the Business Council, as well as the upcoming official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan B.Saidov to Kazakhstan.

Attention is focused on strengthening the transport and logistics component, taking into account the growing trade turnover between our countries.

Within the framework of interregional cooperation, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing twinning relations between cities and regions, this will be a key factor in the formation of strong ties and the multifaceted development of the regions. Issues of interaction in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, in the field of education and science were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed a common desire to enhance further cooperation in the spirit of true mutual understanding and alliance.
