XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum

On November 3-4, 2023, the XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum was held in Samarkand on the theme: "Eurasia in a changing world: the agenda of cooperation".
Issues of human rights, Eurasian integration, interstate cooperation in the field of economics and finance, energy, new technologies and innovations were discussed at this forum.
The forum was attended by officials of the EU, EAEU, SCO, BRICS, prominent state and public figures, heads of major companies and financial structures, experts, journalists from near and far abroad, as well as the Chairman of the Human Rights Commission under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe from Kazakhstan, a member of the Academic Council of the Academy AIFC Rights Igor Rogov, who made a report and informed the forum participants about human rights activities in Kazakhstan, stressing, That the Republic of Kazakhstan recognizes the protection of human rights and freedoms as an essential condition for ensuring peace, justice and well-being. Without ensuring human rights and freedoms, it is impossible to build a democratic and legal state, socio-economic progress.
Commenting on the speeches of some speakers of the forum who raised issues of legal regulation of the use of artificial intelligence in the economic sphere, Igor Rogov said that on behalf of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a regulatory framework is being developed to ensure the protection of human rights in the field of artificial intelligence.
