On November 3, Astana hosted the 10th anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States, attended by the Presidents of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, as well as Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.
In his speech, he noted that Kazakhstan is interested in the development of OTG, deepening cooperation between the Turkic peoples, further popularization of the new brand of the "Turkic World".
In order to promote Turkic unity, the Head of State announced that Kazakhstan's chairmanship will be held under the motto "TURKTIME", which involves the development of cooperation on the following eight priorities: Traditions, Unification, reforms, Science, Trust, Investment, mediation (Mediation) and energy (Energy).
At the suggestion of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the "Highest Order of the Turkic World" for his significant contribution to strengthening the unity of the Turkic world.
Following the summit, 12 documents were adopted, including a decision on granting observer status to the Organization for Economic Cooperation, as well as a Joint Action Plan (Roadmap) of the Organization of Turkic States for the implementation of the Transport Communication Program for 2023-2027.
On the sidelines of the summit, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also held separate talks with the President of the Republic of Turkey R.Erdogan and a meeting with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
