Kazakhstan and Estonia strengthen cooperation in the fields of education and IT technologies

Tallinn, March 31, 2023 – A delegation from the Kazakh-British Technical University visited Estonia and held a series of meetings with the management of the Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), representatives of Estonian scientific and technical organizations and centers of excellence. Estonian side acquainted the delegation with the processes of training IT specialists and establishing scientific activities in this area. In addition, parties exchanged experience in the formation of an academic environment in the IT industry, creation of digital start-ups and the development of innovative education.

As a result of the visit, the Kazakh-British Technical University and TalTech signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, which further provides for the implementation of joint projects, exchange of students and experience, as well as academic research.

This visit consolidated the trend of intensifying contacts between educational institutions of the two countries in the field of IT. In 2022, Astana IT University established cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Tallinn Universities, with which it reached an agreement to create joint student exchange programs. In the same year, representatives of Kazakhstan schools of the «Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools» system got acquainted with the Estonian experience in the field of education.
