Requirements for Appling for the Ata Zholy card for ethnic Kazakhs living abroad

The “Ata Zholy” card is a standardized document, which could be issued to business immigrants or persons with highly demanded professions among ethnic Kazakhs abroad.

The “Ata Zholy” card’s validity is up to ten years (within the validity of the National passport) https://adilet.zan.kz/kaz/docs/V2300032983.

The “Ata Zholy” card is provided to ethnic Kazakhs corresponding to the one of the following requirements:

1) Those who practices professions in accordance with the Decree “On approval of the list of professions and requirements with simplified procedure for admission to the Kazakhstan citizenship” (https://adilet.zan.kz/kaz/docs/U050001587);

2) Those who practices professions in accordance with the Order “On approval of the list of professions in demand for foreigners to obtain a permit for permanent residence in Kazakhstan” (https://adilet.zan.kz/kaz/docs/V2300031938);

3) Own business operators, registered in the country of residence.

 

Application for an “Ata Zholy” card could be proceeded through the “Kutty Meken” mobile Application or by contacting the Kazakh Embassies and Consulates abroad, the regional Departments for the coordination of employment and social programs, or the Otandastar Fund.

The following documents should be submitted along with the application form:

- a copy of an Identity document with attested translation;

- Diploma and Certificates acknowledging a profession corresponding to the one of the above categories, and documents confirming business operating in the country of citizenship with attested translation;

- an official nationality (Kazakh) confirmation Document, issued by the special Authorities of the country of origin of ethnic Kazakhs (in case of nationality identifying absence).
