Abai poems in Stockholm

Videoconference commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the great Kazakh poet Abai Kunanbayev was organized by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of Kazakhstan, the National Academic Library of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh Embassy in Sweden.

Head of the National Academic Library of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Education, Professor Umutkan Munalbaeva, poet, the Chairman of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Ulykbek Yesdaulet, poet, laureate of the International literary prize «Alash», the Honoured Cultural Figure of Kazakhstan, member of the Writers' Union of Kazakhstan Orynbai Zhanaidarov, members of the Embassy of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Youth of Kazakhstan and Dimash Kudaibergen’s Fan Club in Sweden took part in the event.

Renowned poems of Abai Kunanbayev were recited by Regina Shepetya-Larsson and Samal Kussainova, members of the Youth of Kazakhstan, and by Annelie Andersson, member of the DKFC Sweden, in Swedish, Kazakh and Russian. As well as the poem was performed by Makpal Tabus on Kazakh national instrument, Dombra.
