Meeting of Ambassador Arken Arystanov with representatives of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore

Singapore, 18 March. Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Singapore Arken Arystanov held a meeting with Director of the Emerging Markets Division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore Denise Pereira. The meeting was also attended by the Senior Assistance Directors of the Emerging Markets Division of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, Tay Yu Xing and Sangeetha Madasamy.

Ambassador held a briefing on the Address of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev "New Kazakhstan: the Path of renewal and modernization". He noted that the reforms are a logical continuation of the reforms that have already begun, and they promote consistent democratization and ensure the stability and manageability of the state.

Singaporean side confirmed the interest in continuing cooperation with Kazakhstan in the field of trade and investment.

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the total volume of bilateral trade turnover in 2021 between Kazakhstan and Singapore amounted to 1.163 billion US dollars and increased 9 times in comparison to 2020.
