The volume of bilateral trade turnover as of 2023 amounted to $1,6 million USD, exports - $1,5 million, imports - $75 million.

As of December, 2023, 143 operating legal entities, branches and representative offices with the participation of Singapore capital were registered in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the period from 2010-2023, the inflow of foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan from Singapore amounted to 1,4 billion US dollars.

Bilateral investment cooperation is experiencing a significant upswing in the current period.

Work continues on the project for the construction of the integrated city "Alatau" (G4 City) in collaboration with the Singapore company "Surbana Jurong."

According to the development concept of the integrated city "Alatau" (G4 City) in the Almaty region, the project will consist of four thematic areas:

• "Gate City" – business and financial center;
• "Golden District" – educational and medical hub;
• "Growing District" – innovative industrial, trade, and logistics zones;
• "Green District" – a tourist cluster.

It is assumed that approximately 2.2 million people will reside in Alatau (G4 City).

Currently, active efforts are underway to develop the logistics corridor of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route and enhance transport connectivity with Southeast Asia. These endeavors are conducted in collaboration with companies such as PSA International and its subsidiary Global DTC.

The involved parties are placing serious hopes on the enforcement of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Singapore on the Promotion and Mutual Protection of Investments, signed on November 21, 2018, in Singapore.

The year 2023 was marked by the signing of a significant bilateral document – the interstate Agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Singapore on trade in services and investments. This Agreement was a pivotal event during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Singapore, Halimah Yacob, to the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 21-23, 2023. The visit aimed to encourage bilateral economic cooperation and business ties by relaxing relevant rules and reducing barriers to entry into each other's markets.
